About Nuzvid
Nuzvid is a historically important town located in Eluru District of Andhra Pradesh. Earlier, Nuzvid was part of Krishna District, but after the district reorganization in 2022, it became a key town and revenue division under Eluru District.
Nuzvid is popularly known as the “City of Mangoes”. The mango varieties grown in and around Nuzvid, especially Chinna Rasalu and Banganapalli, are famous across India and are also exported to other countries.
The town has historical significance due to the former Nuzvid Zamindari. Remains of old fort structures still reflect its rich cultural and administrative past.
Nuzvid is also an important educational hub. The presence of RGUKT (IIIT Nuzvid) has provided quality technical education to thousands of rural students from Andhra Pradesh.
With its combination of history, agriculture, and education, Nuzvid plays a vital role in the development of Eluru District.
